Milviz UH-1 Not installing
-
Anyone bought this sim recently and successfully installed in P3dv4.5?
Well, just thought I would ask? I have purchased this today and it wont install. Installer will not put the files into P3d?
I have put a ticket in to JF support so will await further advice!

@charlie130 so far no one knows why this isn't installing. Milviz forum has been contacted so I'll see if anyone over there can help. Wish I hadn't forked out 29£ now! Plenty of other Sims to choose from.

😞When did you send JF a ticket? If it was Sunday, we are UK-based and will respond during the week. We have sold a lot of the UH-1 without any issues so I would assume from that it works OK and the issue may be local. It's usually AV programs blocking installation.

@Derek thanks Derek.
I've been in contact with OSI at Milviz. He contacted me by email on Sunday afternoon! No weekend off for him I'd say!
Seems that my install makes it impossible to install this simulation into my P3d install. The reason they give is that their installer requires a rigid, standard folder structure, that their installer can implement.
It needs F\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d\somobjects\rotorcraft.
If you don't have this structure, as I don't, then tough luck it won't install.
I've spent the last 24 hours trying to amend my install so as to accommodate the MV installer. I set up the structure exactly as they asked. The Huey still CTD. I have two dozen appcrashviews to prove it. It will not run for me.
Now I have spent many hundreds of pounds on add ons, from scenery to aircraft. Not one install has failed. So other developers add ons obviously don't require a specific install structure. Other manufacturers can use the P3dv4 add-ons folder, usually on a separate drive, in my case C. Here A2A, amongst others, install their Sims.
All this is academic. I have lost £29 and unless I can fall on Just Flights customer kindness and get a refund, it's dead money.
The reason I can't use the MV UH1 is as follows;
My P3d install was placed entirely in a separate SSD drive F. There was no sub folder structure, which MV require before their installer will work.
As stated, they don't use the P3dv4 add-ons folder.It's not much comfort to me that you've sold many Huey's to satisfied customers. This suggests that the fault is mine alone! You should be more interested in my predicament and keeping me on side as a customer. I've been one for many years.

Some confusion here. Milviz are a different company to us. We are acting as their retailer and we don't code the installations. You would not have this issue with Just Flight software unless you have coded your version of P3D's installation in such a way as to prevent a standard installer - but if you can get A2A software to work then ours should.
What we normally do in this sort of case - if you have contacted the developer/publisher directly for help and they have drawn a blank - is advise them we will offer a refund and see what they say.Just to be clear - you haven't contacted Just Flight support? Just Milviz?
