I am enjoying learning to fly the 146 in FS2020 with my Airbus throttle and sidestick. I also have a RealSimGear GFC500 device, which doesn't really match the aircraft, but it's close enough for me!

I have found that the ALT SEL and HDG wheels control the corresponding controls on the 146, and some of the buttons, like AP, ALT, and IAS, map to autopilot controls in the sim, but the rest do nothing.

So my question is, is there some way I can discover which of the various variables and events are available for me to program with this device so that I can try to make the hardware work better?

RealSimGear provides an .ini file which would theoretically let me customize this. For eaxmple, the .ini file has lines like this:

    BTN_VS+=AP_PANEL_VS_HOLD

But that button doesn't work with the 146. Is it possible that the 146 uses a different variable or event for some of the AP functions? And if so, is there a way to find out what they might be?

    Thanks!
