When I try to take off and I'm going down the runway, I can't get it off the ground until it reaches about 160 knots and because it's slow at accelerating down the runway, I need a massively long runway to get it to 160 knots. This can't be realistic is it? I mean, when landing I with the flaps down I can fly at 120 knots without stalling so I don't understand why it would take so much speed to take off. And I should note that I have to have the flaps all the way down just to be able to takeoff at 160 knots.

This is in P3D. Worth a look up to about 12 mins:

@kalnon if I remember rightly from however many years ago this was built, full flaps has a mass of drag so that's probably where your slow acceleration problem lies. Also make sure you are trimmed correctly for take off.

Thanks for the link to the video, it's great how goes through the checklists on how to start and ready the aircraft since there's no manual for this plane that is extremely helpful. I saw he managed to lift the nose up at about 145 knots. Perhaps there's something I'm not doing right getting the plane ready for takeoff. When I have the chance, I'll try again using the procedures he did in the video.

I appreciate the suggestions but I've tried with less flaps, it doesn't matter, the nose just won't lift, even with the yoke all the way back until I reach at least 160 knots, even then, I have to fight to get the nose up. I'm pretty sure I had the trim set for takeoff already but I'll double check that.

There IS a manual. Everything we release has one:

If you still have problems it may be worth contacting support.

@derek Thank you, I never knew that and I own at least a few JF aircraft. Most planes I have that come with manuals are usually located in the zip file that contains the installer. I didn't think to look anywhere else.

we don't supply software in zips for P3D and FSX (or MSFS) - we always use a proper installer, so that may be why you have missed them.

@derek Yeah, that's exactly why I didn't notice them before but you are right, I checked and they are there.
