Fokker F28: GPS / WXR
-
Hi,
OK, I admit going on like a broken record, but please JF, hear me out!
With respect to the diminutive Fokker F28 regional jet (for MSFS), I would very much like to see you implement a gauge placeholder where the WXR sits.
In this way, users can fit, as an example, the PMS50 GNS530 (freeware mod of the default GNS530) which will provide considerably more accessible navigational user options, and not just for those who are not radio nav capable.
Also, the PMS50 GNS530 has a weather radar built into it (it’s configurable), so at the very least, there could easily be a WXR sitting in the correct spot of the F28 forward pedestal.
Also, the tech savvy could even shoehorn the PMS50 GTN750 into the same space.
I remember pleading for you (JF/AH) to add a gauge placeholder into the correct panel positions of the Fokker F27 for FSX/P3D, so that we could place our preferred third party WXR into place. Unfortunately, you didn’t, which I found distressing because it was such an easy win/win.
Like many, I suspect that seeing blacked-out non-operational panel gauges in the VC of an aircraft to be a great disappointment.
I’d very like much to hear your thoughts on this?
