Unwanted objects in 3D cockpit

I am trying this for the first time (v. 1.2). The 3D internal view includes what looks like a skeletal set of headphones hanging from above the windshield and two red "cloths" high up on the left and right of the pilot's head. Moving the point of view does not remove them. What settings might be at fault?
