    Hi

I have recently installed Orbx Buildings HD textures, it apppears, possibly by design, that when I use JF autogen, the houses use the incorrect texture sheet.
they appear to be using the BLDC2.dds rather than BLDK2.dds.
If I am assuming correct that the letter 'c' and 'k' refere to the p3d autogen region and 'k' relating to the UK then the autogen is using the incorrect region texture sheet.
if this the case, as it is, it is now conflicting with Orbx textures and the autogen now looks terrible for the UK.
could anyone clarify and if possible help with a solution
    Thanks

We do indeed use BLDC2. After much experimenting we felt that the results looked generally better than the default K2 region choice in most UK areas with the standard default textures.

No simple answers to this I’m afraid. Replacing the Orbx BLDC2 textures with copies of the Orbx BLDK2 ones (renamed) would get the “right” ones showing in the UK but then they might be looking wrong in the actual C2 region.

Although, as it happens, we may go with k2 for vol3 and 4 and maybe look to an update later for the first two.
Some people will be using the Orbx HD buildings so it makes sense to conform to what they are doing. The differences between c2 and k2 in the default aren’t huge but it was our subjective opinion that c2 looked a bit more “British”. It still looks ok with k2

For many years, Orbx has assumed that everyone uses default textures worldwide. They make no check for texture substitutions. Depending on one's thinking, this is an oversight, a known problem that remains unpatched, or arrogant. Some people, myself included, think that conforming to Orbx is not the way to go. Texture problems are one of several reasons why some of us avoid Orbx products.

That is what I have done , It was more of a curious question as I thought it may be by design, I do agree the k region does leave a lot to be desired.
    Thanks for the reply

    Hello
I see you have changed to BLDK2.dds for the new release vol3 (p.s. dont forget to change the airport AGN's in an update). I have to say the improvement visually is great, the odd anomaly but much improved experience, thanks
Only 1 observation may be by design or possibly limitation, within the urban areas there is little or no vegetation mixed amongst the housing, not really detrimental, more me being picky, either way more than happy with the results and much recommended.
    Thanks
