    Hey guys,

love the shots of the new F28. Thought i saw there is no FMC in the Aircraft by the manufacturer. Many of them were fittet with random aftermarket fmc like the BAE146.
In that regard i like to ask if you could give us the option to switch to the Working Tile FMC like it was done in the BAE. That be nice. Thanks

We'll provide more information as the development work progresses but I can confirm that we will be looking into FMS/GPS options to allow for navigation in areas that lack VORs/NDBs, and for RNAV SID/STARs etc.

Bumping this. We're now very close to release. Is there an FMS in this aircraft?

@owlinflight My guess its either going to be the WT one they have in the 146, or maybe they might try and stuff the UNS-1 in it (which is going in the 146). Money is more of the former, but later would be nice.

I really hope they implement the UNS-1 once it’s released for the 146.

I haven’t seen any pictures of F28’s retrofited with that unit specifically but I’ve seen many with the Honeywell GNS-XLS which is a quite similar unit.

    Hi,
Can you confirm that the GNS530 option is the one from Working Title?
    I is not mentioned anywhere
    Thanks

The GNS530 used in the F28 Professional is the Working Title GNS530. It can also be toggled on/off via the EFB so you don't have to have it visible if you're flying VOR to VOR.

Our plan is to add the UNS-1 FMS post-release once it's been added to the 146. We have also seen a small number of photos with a UNS-1 fitted to a real aircraft. This will require some modeling changes to the cockpit as it means all of the instruments and indicators on the hydraulic panel need to be moved from the secondary instrument panel up onto the main instrument panel which will be a fair amount of work.

So at this time, we cannot give any sort of firm date on when the UNS-1 may be added, but we will keep you informed on the process.

@mark Really happy to hear that.
Based on photos there has definitely been some Frankenstein fellowships over the years.
Would it be easier to have it on the pedestal instead of rearranging the hydraulics panel?

@captain-ronin That is actually a photo I do not think I have seen before! Thanks for posting that!

I'll share this with the rest of the development team and we can discuss which configuration would be best to replicate.

    Great!
When you will update to the FMS version, please could you keep also the GNS530 option instead?
I have the FlightSimBuilder GNS530 hardware which is plug and play with the WT GNS530. I personally prefer such GPS instead a FMS and I was waiting for a nice study level regional aircraft with a GNS530 equipped to make it my favorite aircraft to fly online (IVAO) mostly in Europe...
    Thanks

I really like that lower pedestal placement - how about when the UNS is added the EFB allows to select between VOR, GNS and UNS with GNS or UNS being placed on the pedestal depending which is selected?

@b3lt3r Yes, that's the plan. You'll have the existing classic navigation and GNS 530 options, and then the new custom UNS-1, with those fitted to the aft pedestal.

Regarding the GNS530, I am unable to autoload the MSFS flightplan I create when selecting the departure and destination airports. Is this by design or am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    Matt Z.

@smeezy101 The WT GNS 530 should automatically load the MSFS flight plan when you start your flight. Is the GNS 530 enabled when the flight starts or are you enabling it via the EFB?

BC state saving is not working, the a/c always has the GNS disabled, that probaply causing the issue (not loading FPL)

@jetnoise Yes, that is what is happening. I have to enable the GNS530 with every flight. However, I found on another forum that if you open the VFR map immediately after entering your flight that the plan will be there. Then you enable the GNS and the plan should be loaded in the GPS.
