3rd Party downloaded Airports that have a plugins folder

Somebody said that if you download airports from the internet, some of them have a plugins folder. This is I believe is for airport traffic.
Is it advisable to delete these folders because they might clash with Traffic Global?
Or am I worried about nothing?
