MSFS 2020 & 2024 Needs a Super VC 10

I've asked Justflight via emails on the chances of them getting Aeroplane Heaven to build a Super VC 10 for MSFS 2020 & 2024. I first mentioned it to them back in 2020 and repeatedly emailed both but never got anywhere infact the later emails were ignored and never answered. So lets see how many add to this request as from today.

That's a question you should direct at Aeroplane Heaven. We have published their products in the past and sell their current titles, but what they choose to work upon or develop is their business and we have no connection with them on that score.

We always reply to enquiries about the VC10 in much the same way as the last reply I have on file from 7th October 2022:
It would have to be made from scratch. The FSX/P3D VC10 is too old to port over. No plans at the moment but, of course, never say never.

That reply still stands. A VC10 for MSFS would need to be built from scratch and, although it would be of great interest to our team, it doesn't stack up commercially. Unlike some potential projects, we do have the hard evidence of the commercial performance of the VC-10 in FSX/P3D to use as a yardstick.

When I discussed this with Aeropllane heaven some years ago they said the ball is in JustFlight hands as they commisioned it in the past for FSX & P3D so their hands were tied as to make a VC10 for MSFS 2020 & 2024. So that is why I'm asking again, many want a Super VC 10 im MSFS.

You say making a Super VC10 from scratch wouldn't stack up knowing what the sales in FSX & P3D. But you forget the free version made by David Maltby and Rick Piper was probably the reason for poor sales for a payware version. I can't give you any figures but I bet the David Maltby and Rick Piper version was downloaded be many thousands.

It's true that we worked with AH in the past on a VC10, but that was many years ago. They have always been a wholly independent outfit. It is certainly the case that if we wanted to do a VC10 for MSFS we could build the 3D models in-house or pay another modeller to build it for us.

It's also true that if Aeroplane Heaven (or PMDG or Aerosoft or Carenado or Inibuilds) wished to create a VC10 they could do so without without consulting us. We have no exclusive rights to the aircraft and no-ones hands are tied.

And X-Plane - remember we also released a VC10 for XP.

As to the freeware version (originally made for FS2002 and variously updated) we have made many aircraft that had freeware competition and that's not been a factor that impacted on sales to any discernible degree. We also released a Pro version of the VC10 (it was originally released as a 'Jetliner'). You obviously disagree, but we'd like to think that we have a pretty good handle on the current commercial possibilities of older airliners, given we have released a 146, RJ and an F28 for MSFS.

The VC10 was a wonderful machine, but has very limited appeal outside the UK.
