Hi guys, I'm baffled by an issue with either version of the BLACKSQUARE Bonanzas.
Autopilot (KFC150) wont engage under any circumstances, aircraft flying straight and level... I'm using a DIY autopilot look alike and Mobiflight with generic Simvars (>K:AUTOPILOT_ON), or (>K:AUTOPILOT_OFF) to toggle the Autopilot fascia switch. With those Simvars, and pressing the respective AP ENG switch, the AP annunciator flashes a red AP which immediately goes dark. If I kill mobiflight and use the mouse to select the APENG button, same behavior! The clue might be the fact that the red highlighted TRIM annunciation is on continuously. This behavior occurs on all bonanza variants. Using the same hardware and the Blacksquare Baron variants, I have no issue with the autopilot engaging as expected. I'm running a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and have checked the Autopilot disengage button functions in Control Options/Autopilot functions and have one function assigned for the yoke disengage button- "Toggle Disengage Autopilot (Joystick button 4) and checked for assignment clashing with Mobiflight (no problems).

To troubleshoot, I've uninstalled, downloaded and reinstalled the aircraft from Justflight, and I've removed almost all sub-folders from my community folder leaving-

Removing all other references made no difference and was not necessary for correct KFC150 autopilot function in the Baron aircraft anyway. Just to be sure, I've checked the MSFS program file integrity and found no issues there.

Desperate for a solution to this issue, and surprised it isn't raised in other forums.

Further observation, aircraft on take-off and trimmed for climb, will engage autopilot, but within a few seconds of that, the disengage buzzer sounds and TRIM light comes on. After that the AP cannot be re-engaged at all.

Finally figured it out after watching a review by Q8Pilot... thankyou Q8Pilot for enlightening me on the active failure mode.
The problem was because of an active failure that went unnoticed- Autopilot engage failure. Wouldn't have believed it unless I reset active failures and bingo-problem gone.
