Black Square Analog Caravan Taxi Lights Bug
-
I found a major BUG with the TAXI LIGHTS in the Black Square Analog Caravan when I got the product in January 2024. After turning the TAXI LIGHTS ON, they shut off after some time making a clicking noise and CANNOT be turned on afterwards. They stay OFF throughout the entire flight. Even after the LATEST UPDATE this month, this issue still prevails and has NOT BEEN FIXED.
Also, the LANDING LIGHTS are barely visible at night from the cockpit.

I suspect the clicking sound you're hearing is a circuit breaker, which only trips after a few seconds of heating in the circuit. Pressing the circuit breaker back in should restore the function of the circuit temporarily until heating occurs again. If this matches what you're seeing, check the failures page on the tablet interface to see if there are any active failures. The failures are saved between flights, so it's entirely possible that you encountered pseudo-random failure nine months ago, and have just never reset it.

Yes! Indeed it is the Circuit Breaker popping out after a few seconds every time I turn ON the TAXI LIGHTS. The failures page is on the Weather Radar, am I correct? I have reset all types of failures and will do a test flight tomorrow and let you know. Or should I just do a fresh reinstall of the Caravan?

Oh, I'm sorry. It's easy for me to forget which aircraft I'm talking about with eleven of them available or in development. Yes, it's on the weather radar display. No reinstall should be necessary. Just press the line-key on the weather radar for "Reset All Failures", and the circuit breaker should push itself back in, and stay. Good luck!

Sounds like a riddle/Easter egg! I'll play!
- Velocity XL
- Caravan
- King Air
- Bonanza
- Baron
- TBM 850
- Piston Duke
- Turbine Duke
- Starship

I may be counting differently than Nick, but we know about the imminent release of the Starship and he has said he is planning standalone MSFS 2024 versions of the Caravan, Bonanza, and Baron; has been a bit cagey about a follow on King Air, :) but what else is in store for us?!
P.S. Black Square is my favorite developer by far. I own all the planes except the Velocity XL (soon though I'm sure.) The Dukes have certainly set a new standard in MSFS. Took the piston Duke out recently for some night ILS practice. All I'll say is that the boundaries of simulation and reality were blurred. Kudos Nick!

Indeed, that is how I'm counting. You've guessed the three 2024 remakes currently underway correctly, but there is another new aircraft I'm working on as we speak (that's five aircraft concurrently, which I think is a record for me). I plan on announcing it with some renders, alongside screenshots of the 2024 Caravan remake within the next couple of weeks.
