Invisible surface blocking instruments behind the yokes

Hi,
I just got a Pimax Crystal Light VR Headset. When I went to try the Duke with it, I was unable to operate the majority of the switches behind the yoke from the standard cockpit view. After some playing around it turned out they are only operable from a angle but not straight from the front. For example I can move the copilots switches when looking at them from the left seat but not from the right seat (straight from the front). It appears there is an invisible surface above the yokes blocking the switches behind it. Does anybody have an idea what's going on here and how to fix it?
