air speed indicator Grand Duke
-
Let me start by saying how impressed I am about the quality of the Duke, both piston and turbine version. They both are a master piece.
Regarding the piston duke, I see that the stock and the Grand Duke share the same air speed indicator. However, the starting position of the white and green arc and the red and blue lines, correspond to Vs0, Vs, Vmc and Vyse of the stock Duke, respectively.
Would it be possible to change these indicators for the Grand Duke, so that they corrspond to what the manual tells us?

Don't quote me on this, as I haven't read this in any regulator sense, but my understanding is that aircraft may not require a new airspeed indicator card if the critical speeds are "better" than the base model, or if there was no advertised change in the STC that necessitated a flight manual supplement. For example, adding vortex generators to your Cessna 152 does not necessitate a new airspeed indicator, even though VG's are typically added to reduce stalling speed.
That being said, yes, I could add a Grand Duke airspeed indicator, as some real world examples have, but unfortunately, I have run out of texture space, which is something I manage carefully for best graphical performance. I will see if I can find an easy way to do this in the texture hierarchy for the Piston Dukes, which will just come at the expense of disk space, and will hopefully not disrupt any mods. Thanks for letting me know that you're enjoying the aircraft!

Inspired by your request, I have customized the airspeed indicator in my repaint for the Grand- and the Stock-Duke according to the specifications in the BKSQ documentation (Piston Duke D-IPAX on Flightsim.to). You are welcome to copy the files and use them in your BKSQ installation.
