    Hi Folks,

New here as I have an issue with the 146 on Xbox Series X after updating it to the latest version in Marketplace in the last 24hrs. Since the update I've not been able to steer the aircraft when on the ground at all - I just cannot move the nose wheel in either direction. Pre-update this wasn't an issue - I could happily steer the nose wheel using the rudder controls (on the Xbox controller), and toggling the "rudder axis steering" option via the EFB settings makes no difference. I've not changed any control settings in MSFS itself, and other planes are happily still steering on the ground in the usual way using the same controller profile that the 146 won't steer under.

I'm at a bit of a loss as I can't taxi/land meaning I'm stranded! It's likely my issue, so I'm happy to be told I'm a muppet - just hoping someone can point (or steer...) me in the right direction! Thanks in advance.

Hi, on the aircraft page on EFB the "start boarding" is a pop-up that will not allow you to steer the aircraft on ground. You need to close that pop-up by clicking on the person with baggage just left of the window. After that everything should work as usual.

@dabbljou Thanks for the reply, but sadly this has not worked. Is the idea that it's a bug workaround?

Maybe check for any other "pop-ups" that might be open in the EFP. I had the issue with the Push-back window as, well.

Edit: The idea is, that the behavior appeared in the former version as well, so I thought it might be worth a try.

I have the same issue since updating. Tried turning off the boarding section but no joy.

Update: Have now uninstalled the aircraft and reinstalled and the issue persists.

Is there a way of deleting the update and go back to normal steering

Unfortunately we have now confirmed the same behaviour here using the latest Xbox release build (v2.0). The PC version available from the Marketplace and our website (v2.0) is working OK.

We’re still investigating the cause but suspect that the nose wheel steering improvements being added in the upcoming v2.1 update were partially included in this v2.0 Xbox build in error. Diagnosing issues on Xbox is challenging as we have no development or debug tools for it, but by process of elimination that appears to be the issue.

We have already uploaded a new build for Marketplace processing but the turnaround time means that next Thursday will be the earliest release, and that’s not something within our control for Xbox. In the meantime we suggest using the workaround method of mapping the nose wheel steering controls using LB and the left analogue stick.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused by this.

@Martyn Appreciate the response, and confirming I'm not a muppet! Thanks for the temp workaround, and here's to the fix being released by MS in half-decent order.

As a temporary workaround until the v0.2.1 update is released on Xbox, we would recommend assigning the 'INCREASE STEERING' and 'DECREASE STEERING' control assignments to LT and RT on the Xbox controller. This will allow you to control the nose wheel steering when on the ground by pressing LT/RT to increase/decrease it by 5% increments and will still allow you to control the rudder pedals. If you prefer, you could also combine those control assignments with LB or RB on the controller to disconnect the nose wheel steering from the rudder pedals (for example: LB+LT and LB+RT). You can also use the cursor to click on the nose wheel steering tiller in the cockpit and use LT/RT to move the steering left/right.

We’ve approved v2.1 for release on both PC and Xbox tomorrow. That includes the nose wheel steering fix for Xbox controller users, as well as all of the above fixes and improvements. Thanks again for your patience.

Checked out the update on Xbox this morning, and all is well with the steering now. Thanks for the fix.
