Can't get autopilot to follow GNS530 flight plan

I turn the autopilot on and gps is selected on the GNS but none of the selectors on the AP panel make the aircraft follow the flight plan.

@maddog453 engage the AP and YD on the pedestal and then use "Beam"?

@maddog453 You must get HDG mode on, arm BEAM mode and reach your path. Then BEAM will automatically turn on and follow the path. Make sure your GNS 530 is on "GPS" mode and not VOR L (this mode is used for landing and is turned automatically once in finale).
