F28 In Group Multiplayer Interference - Unuseable!
-
When using the F28 grouped with a friend also using the F28 our aircraft systems go haywire. All systems seem to shutdown and then turn back on almost instantly.
Results in AP disconnecting and GPS restarting. Also lights go off and then back on.
It’s as though every switch in the aircraft turns off then back on every few minutes.
Normal system operation when using ungrouped!
How could this be possible? -
Experiencing same issue, very frustrating.

On further investigation it seems that if you are hosting the group there are no issues but if you join a group with the F28 there is interference.
Also the host aircraft can be any aircraft, even default MSFS aircraft seem to cause issues with the grouped F28.
I do a lot of group flying and have never encountered anything like this. I have also used the BA146 grouped with no issues. -
@bj777 I have asked our development team today for an update on this. Unfortunately, it looks like the sim variable that we need to use to fix this issue is not working as it should, so we will need to wait for a fix from Asobo on this one.
In the meantime, we are continuing to investigate other possible methods to fix this issue and as soon as we have a fix, it will be included in the following F28 update.

@tiiny The variable that isn't working for us is the "IS USER SIM" check variable, which we should be able to use to differentiate the player's aircraft behaviour from the Ai. Unfortunately, we've always had difficulties with multiplayer as the multiplayer aircraft share LVARs with the player aircraft, so we think it's something that will need to be fixed on the simulator.
We are continuing to look into this and it's a high priority on our internal bugs tracker, so we will be sure to update the F28 if we are able to find a suitable workaround.
