Flight Simulator 2024

It's too early to tell if FS Traffic will be one of the addons that will be 100% compatible with the next iteration of the sim and based on the SU history of Asobo so far, the new sim will come with its own bag of issues.
Speaking with several other developers, all seem to agree that this announcement will probably hamper development efforts until MSFS24 is released. I'd like to know what's Just Flight take on this. -
Other developers have stated that they won't charge for an eventual FS2024 update on their products. Will Just Flight follow suit?

@monkeypants I made a similar post in the T1 subcategory. I know MS has stated 'virtually' all Marketplace products will be compatible (I assume this means they are ported using your account).
However, I've bought quite a few products from Just Flight direct and am wondering how this will be managed?
It is early days though and to expect absolute clarity on this is probably optimistic considering I would imagine the announcement has taken many third party developers by surprise. Although a general statement of intent would be welcome.

Short of it is we'll carry on regardless. There's little more info we have and no details regarding the product or the SDK or anything of that nature so for now we continue and assume that backwards compatibility will be a thing for all of our add-ons. They'll work in the old and the new sim, the user will simply need to redownload once the update file is available. There will be no charge to you. That would only change if there is a heap of work required at our end to make the add-ons compatible with the new version. That's not occurred in the past so we doubt it'll be the case going forward.
We need to find out more, like all of you, and we believe that we will do that in the weeks and months to come. If the situation ever changes and we're required to do an about turn we'll try and communicate that to all of you just as soon as we can.
For now though it's very much a case of 'as we were' our strategy and plans going forward remain unaltered. That's about the crux of it guys. I hope it helps to some extent. Thanks.
