TDS GTN750 in standalone mode - not working

With the TDS installed and the TDS interface folder installed in the community folder- the GTN750 is recognized and can be used normally within the VC.
However, some (quite a few) TDS GTN owners also use realsimgear to operate the gps and do so in "standalone mode". To do this, that TDS folder must be removed from community folder. Unfortunately, this causes the JF Piper to NOT recognize that the GTN is installed- and the ipad no longer cycles through GTN as an option. Using the TDS while it is in GNS530/430 (working title) causes CDI fighting, and the in-house JF GPS doesn't allow external programs to drive the CDI.
Can you update the piper to cycle through TDS GTN 750 - even if it doesn't think it is installed, as it will just display a blank GTN screen and allow the external TDS GTN750 to drive the NAV/COMMS?
