Few questions to KingAir

There are a few things that I don't quite understand, even after consulting the operator's manual.
1, firstly the bus tie I understand needs to be placed to "man close" at night, after starting the engine is normal, is the only reason for doing this just for the lights?
2, for the ambient system, I found out that there are three gears in bleeped, what does enviroment off mean? Or is it simply off, and what is inster off? And at what point would I turn them on and to what position?
3, in the anti-icing system, do I need to turn the winshieldd on to norm only after take-off, or is it high during take-off and norm after take-off, and does the fuel vent (I forget what it is called) turn on after starting the engine together with the pitoty? And what does it do?
4, in the manual you need to turn on the elec trim, rrudder boost, no smoking... before starting the power. Is this really necessary? Why not put these on after starting the power?
