I've been waiting for FS Traffic for months, and all the hype has left me feeling let down, especially for the price.

Traffic at airports and en route is very unreliable, despite me turning down the traffic to 0 (except vehicles, which I have at 1). I get the issues with maximum sim objects, but FSTL and GSX work fine.

My question is this. The FS Traffic manual says it works with MSFS live traffic. I don't understand what this means. Do they mean that if I have the live air traffic turned on in MSFS, that FS Traffic will also be generated according to the FS Traffic schedules at the same time? I don't think the manual makes this clear.

If this was freeware I would have uninstalled it, but I've spent c.£30 on it so I'm hoping it improves.

    @sclrkuk

I must admit that I found this confusing too, as I didn’t understand exactly what MSFS Live Traffic was in relation to the other AI Live setting.

When I asked for clarification as to whether I should have this setting on or off, if I was just interested in JF flight plans generating the aircraft, I was told by JF to have MSFS Live Traffic OFF.

    Hello.

We are working hard on a hotfix to correct some issues that are causing no traffic at the destination, separate to the object count problem. This will hopefully be out by the end of the week.

With live Traffic our models will work to some extent with MSFS's live traffic system. (Some model matching issues exist in the deafult MSFS system and these have been reported to Asobo) I wouldnt recommend running both live traffic and FS Traffic at the same time as you'll likely see doubled up flights where our scehduels still exist in the real world. If you want to use our models with live traffic you can disable FS Traffic in the options page of the control centre.

@jf-john will this same fix also address no traffic enroute as well? Also is there so way the dev team could build up a list of things that will be addressed in time or being looked into a pin it to the top of this forum? I think that would ease a lot of minds and sway the tide of complaint, concerns, and issues.

Given all the negative comments here some positive aspects:

    • Installation worked flawless
    • The plane models are very nice
    • Very FPS friendly
    • I always had traffic at origin and destination

That said, I am sure JF will update the product continously to correct some initial bugs (limited on route traffic, traffic remove/reload not always working, no traffic when doing turnaround flights).

@balzbac You bring up some valid points, and your optimism is inspiring.

EDIT 0621 UTC Sat, 4 Feb: The only thing I have to add is that no... unfortunately for me the installation is not flawless. It's been over 4 hours and counting as I type this, and the .exe for the update is still installing.

Don't quite know what's up with that, but it is annoying.

@balzbac I'm not sure that your reply adds anything valid to my post. Not sure if you're trying to invalidate my disappointment by sprinkling on some positivity. As a paying customer, I expected more. I'm not picking a fight, I just don't see why you had to reply in those terms.
