Is there any update on this? It is so badly needed and so badly missed from X-Plane. Any updates would be great?

I agree, an update on development would be greatly appreciated, we're well into the second quarter of 2022 now.

On their Facebook page, they wrote "No news on a release date, sorry. It won’t be in May. July looks more likely but no guarantees on that at this point." https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/just-flights-fs-traffic-for-msfs/483599/44

This looks really good. Would be nice to have an easy-install AI traffic package that has good models.

There's an awesome and extensive list of planes, but one thing that's a little disappointing is that there aren't older planes that are still in service. Hopefully those could be added later.

    Hello everyone,

Just to introduce myself, my name’s John and I'm part of the development team at Just Flight, and I'm currently working on FS Traffic.

Whilst all has been quiet, I can confirm that development of FS Traffic is progressing well. Over the past few months we have been working with a team of artists who have been creating over 700 liveries across 43 models, comprising of the various real world aircraft types/engine. Recently we made the decision to add the 747-400 to the fleet. Here’s a preview of it still waiting to be painted.

    Traffic.jpg

To address some of the questions and concerns posted this forum and elsewhere; like any other developer we are at the mercy of the simulator when it comes to limitations but we will work with Asobo to iron these out over time.

FS Traffic won’t replace any live traffic but we will be including flight plans for both pre and post pandemic years, along with tools so that you can manage flight plans and aircraft to your hearts content. Let me allay any fears about experiences with much older traffic expansions; FS Traffic is a completely new product with brand new models and code. It's being developed by our in-house team so you can expect the same high level of support as with any of our aircraft products.

I'll bring you more info soon and will regularly be dipping into the forums to answer any questions and discuss any feedback you have.

In the mean time here's a preview of some of the modelling and livery work.

@jf-john Hi John, thank you for the update. FS Traffic is looking good. We've heard a lot from various developers about the limitations presented by MSFS & its SDK, so it's no surprise that you're meeting obstacles in the project. Good luck with its continuing development and hopefully we'll be able to use it in our sims in the not-too-distant future.

    John,
I know your busy, so I will keep this brief.

Will Just Traffic work on a downloaded copy of MSFS deluxe? I am confused by being told if wont work on Xbox, which my MSFS seems to run on.
    Thank you very much,

Are you running your copy of the game on a PC or an XBox?

In which case FS Traffic will work for you when it is released.

XBox compatibility is down to Microsoft. We will aim to release the product on their MarketPlace (for PC) and, assuming they can convert it to XBox compatibility, then it will, one day, work for XBox users. However, unless you buy an XBox, that should be of no no real concern to you - apart from some natural human empathy for XBox users that will miss out on FS Traffic until such time as that longed-for conversion is effected.

May I ask one more question. When do you plan to have a military pack out?

It's certainly something we will look at in the future. However, most punters will want commercial traffic and then GA, so, probably after we have those nailed.

    Hello everyone.

We've have a new post on our In development page giving a short update on the progress. We’ve included some screenshots of the latest liveries and a couple of previews of the tools.

Please keep an eye out on this page for further updates over the coming weeks.

    Cheers

will you provide an ATC with FStraffic ?

    @skypat
FS Traffic won't come with its own ATC system however the aircraft do interact with the default MSFS ATC. The traffic itself is injected by simconnect rather than .BGL files. You will be able to use the models with real-time online traffic within the limitations of the MSFS system.

    Cheers

    John

We don't publish release dates much more than a week or two in advance and we did hope to have this out in Q1 2022. It is progressing well and as soon as we have more news we will be able to make an announcement. Thanks for your interest.

One of the current issues with AIG is that it spawns random airlines at every airport, aka European a320’s at Kansas City. Will FS Traffic load traffic that’s true to the airport we are in? This is something the older traffic products did quite well
