Are there any scenario-makers out there for MML?
-
@tdurbo your question is somewhat confusing, scenario "markers" are in the editor which in a previous post you have said you don't know how to use.
If you mean are there scenarios that drive from Sheffield to Notts then there are plenty.
In train simulator click drive and then accross the top of the screen choose "Standard" the game defaults to "Career"
scroll down to find Just Trains Midland Mainline. Here you will find all the scenarios. just select one and read the description as it will tell you where you are going.
I would try all the ones that start "DEFAULT" as these will use all the default stock that comes with the game -
@jamy Yeah all the ones on the MML track veer right and go to Notts via Derby rather than a direct route, so all the descriptions say, which avoids the exact bit of the route I want to drive on. The route is kind of triangular, but thats the side of the triangle you can't use ANY default, not even free roam will let me do it.

drive the leeds notts services these go the route you want. I'm assuming you have the "Erewash line extension" https://www.justtrains.net/product/midland-main-line-erewash-valley

Yes I have the extension. No the Leeds to Nottm services also go via Derby. Nowhere is the Erewash Valley part of the route even used. Not on ANY scenario :(

that seems strange to me as there are lots on my install. I would try uninstalling it and redownload it
Can you give me the name/number of one that does? I have lots of default scenarios, if you've found one that I haven't, I'd be happy to bask in your knowledge! And call you Sir forever.

@jamy Thank you for all your help. I can't justify paying £24.099 to do one scenario, sadly :(
I understood the editor when it was a 2D map and you could run it at x-speed to see if trains got stuck, where and why. Looking at the editor these days makes my eyes bleed!! :)
EDIT: To add, all I need to do is clone that scenario, replace the consists I don't have, with some default ones, I'd be fine, but a week I've spent trying to do this simple (you'd think) task has me completely stumped. I'd pay actual cash for one going either way! But not £24.99.

@Derek Yeah, the thing is, I live in Alfreton, my girlfriend lives in Langley Mill. Trains run that route dozens of times a day, never via Derby. It just means the only way I'm going to use what looks like a perfectly recreated bit of line, is to buy a £24.99 loco just to run that one scenario. Its alsi unrealistic as the number of trains going from Chesterfield to Notts don't go anywhere near Derby. I truly appreciate your help. I could use the editor if I knew how to turn the whole thing into a 2D map .like it was in the bad old Kuju days.
Genuinely I appreciate you taking the time to respond. It just seems such a missed opportunity. It means I've paid for something I'll never use, a route I use daily as can't drive any more.
Thank you so much.

I really don't understand what your saying as your reply's don't make any sense to me.
start the game and click drive. then click the standard tab at the top of the screen.
scroll down to find Just Trains Midland mainline
look through the list of scenarios
any scenario with a name that starts [DEFAULT][EVL] will go on the route you want to drive and will not go via Derby. If you are saying you do not see any scenarios starting [DEFAULT][EVL] and you have the Erewash Valley line installed then contact Just Trains support.
I'm afraid whilst I have made several scenarios for the route now I can not share them with you as I can upload scenarios via Steam and the Just Trains route is not a steam product so I am unable to send you the scenarios you requested
