Dynamic Registration on Panel
-
The airplane registration isn't showing up in the little decal above the GNS 530 in the cockpit. It's just a blank grey rectangle. This is with the default liveries. Any ideas?
-
Oh just to add, this happens both with a blank “registration” on the customize page (using the livery’s default registration), and when I type in a custom registration.
-
This happens very often to me in all MSFS aircraft. Unless it's like this every single time you load the simulator and doesn't seem to happen in any other aircraft, I wouldn't suspect that it's specific to the TBM. Let me know what you continue to observe.
-
Yeah this happens every time I load the TBM, I’ve never had the registration displaying correctly.
-
Does the registration display on the exterior of the aircraft when the one on the panel fails to load? I assume you've checked that it's working in other aircraft? I checked the code for the TBM, and the interior registration uses the default registration drawing code that every other aircraft in MSFS uses, not anything custom that I have done. I don't suppose you have developer mode enabled, do you? There are some things I can suggest that you take a look at to try to get to the bottom of the issue, but I might start by asking our support team, in case they've seen this before.
-
Yes the registration appears fine on the outside of the aircraft. Both when leave the field blank, which shows the default reg, or when I type in a custom one.
-
Never mind, the problem was I had to check “Show registration” on the customization page. Without it checked, the registration still appears on the outside, but not on the label inside the cockpit. Who would have thought?!

Thanks for letting us know in case someone else runs across the same problem!
