Saitek Throttle Issues

I don't think this is actually an issue with the X55 Throttle as if I enable the visuals to see the clickable regions, I can see the throttle moving. However, it seems to be locked in a central state, around 50%, not idle not 100% and I cannot move it.

The clickable regions around the throttle don't seem to do anything of any use.
What am I missing - must be something obvious that I'm missing.

Any help appreciated.
