Virtual cabin?
-
I was wondering there is a lot of talk about an extremely detailed interior. Is this interior hooked to the cockpit so I can open the door and go back in flight?
When are the night pictures coming? Is there any pictures of the cabin?

@Captain-Bakon they have said night lighting pictures will come when the PBR for the interior is finished. I am also curious about wether the passenger cabin is part of the interior model as well as the exterior model, and if so, to what extent it is modeled.

JF can you confirm this? I knew some addons for FSX had a cabin connected to the cockpit, like the 747-400 from a well know developer abeit the upper deck only.

@Gabe777 said in Virtual cabin?:
Why is a cabin required ?
When fps performance is at such a premium in P3D, why on Earth would any right-minded developer waste resources in such a pointless way ?Long answer...
...because for every post like this that claim that we're not in our right mind for including a particular feature, there are many others calling for that feature to be included.
As a developer we need to be able to look past our own personal idiosyncrasies and likes/dislikes and include as many features as possible that are appreciated by the community.
If not then I wouldn't bother with things like dimmable night lighting or HD cockpit outside of the cockpit as they add nothing to the experience of learning an aircraft's system which is where my own particular enjoyment come from. We can appreciate that those sorts of features add to the fun and immersiveness of an aircraft simulation for a significant amount of other people and therefore we invest our time and money in adding them.Short answer...
They'll be an option for turning them off should you wish.
