Reliance on third-party addons

I must say I am somewhat disappointed about the amount of third-party stuff required for your products. I have just purchased Derby-Shefield, Leicester to Nottingham addon, and the 222 advanced. But I can't actually use the 222 unless I also buy a load of stuff from Armstrong Powerhouse. This is really not fair! I understand why you want to make use of other products to enhance the realism, but if you must, then there should be a half-way house of "scenarios requiring default + JT Stock".

@happybasher So on the Derby to Leicester route, the most recently released route which I assume is the one you have just bought, within the product there are 39 different scenarios included as standard. 21 of those require payware stock (some of which are JT stock) and a further 18 that can be used with just default TS stock.
We'd suggest and hope that's delivering quality for money and gives a pretty fair mix. People have clamoured for more scenarios using payware stock that they might already own, we have delivered on that front. People have requested scenarios where default stock can be used so they do not need to shell out for other products to enjoy the route and scenarios, we have delivered on that too and on the whole people seem very happy and content with the route and the scenarios on offer.

@happybasher I have to somewhat agree. I too have just bought all the Midland Mainline routes/add ons. It becomes a real pain in the arse finding all the extra contents on other sites that your not familiar with. Its very confusing I already have Class 66 pack 01,03,05 exetra why do I need to buy more of a loco I already have

Edit the default scenarios. This will open up ok in editor as you will have everything. Then swap the default loco's to ones you have got. so if the default scenario as you driving HST then swap it for the 222 -

We include scenarios for other (sometimes rival!) products because there was a strong demand. We also include scenarios for default content.
The third party scenarios are very much a bonus and are popular with the majority of customers that own a range of titles.

@jamy I’m with you on this. I can’t drive a stopping passenger service from Sheffield to Nottingham through Chesterfield, Alfreton, Langley Mill etc. I’ve watched videos and seen the detail and accuracy put into the custom assets but I have no way of accessing them, not even in free roam, unless I buy more and more stuff. Just
ONE each way would’ve done for me :(Edit: The editor is beyond me, even to just change the locos from TP to default. Even if I did there’s still no scenario that uses those stations

@tdurbo It's not though is it. You can use the line, there are lots of scenarios that use default stock. Some require third party stock but that's because people have asked for that in the past. We're trying to keep all parties happy with how we set-up the offering. For most part people are happy. If we remove the scenarios that require third party stock we'd then be setting ourselves up for criticism of not catering for users who want to run scenarios with their third party stock.
