Wheel fairings incorrectly appear on all versions ?

Since update 1.6 I find that the first time I load up any Warrior version it always has fairings.
To remove them I have to reload an alternative fairing free model, this seems to reset the models correctly.
Even if I have saved a situation without fairings the model will load again with fairings next time.
Slightly annoying if you are not a fan of wheel fairings - I get flashbacks of flared jeans I wore as a kid throughout the 70's.
Any one else have this issue, is there a way I can correct it or else permanently remove fairings on all models.
