When flying an active GPS flight plan leg on the GNS430 (which occupies the #2 avionics slot under the MX170B — not using the gns 530), the NAV screen shows the leg (e.g. KAKR → VADUY), GS, and ETE correctly, but DTK and DIS remain blank.

Note when I have the GNS-530 in the #1 position, the 530 works fine.

Steps to reproduce:

Set avionics to MX170B / GNS430 (#2 slot).
Enter a flight plan in the GNS430 and activate a leg.
Leg name, GS, and ETE populate normally; DTK and DIS do not.

Very strange mechanic. Not only the OBS II doesn't react to GPS course - which might make sense if it's not integrated. But also as you said neither deviation nor leg switching takes place. And that doesn't make any sense as this is supposed to be contained within the unit and shouldn't require aircraft integration.
