While keeping the classic/period-accurate avionics intact as a default is awesome for retro flying, the real-world airspace system is rapidly evolving. Ground-based VORs are continuously being decommissioned, and standard airways are systematically being replaced by RNAV routes, T-routes, and Q-routes.

Because virtually all modern terminal airspace procedures now mandate RNAV 1 / RNAV 2 departures and arrivals with complex leg types, manually keying in fix-by-fix waypoints into the CDU isn't fully practical (and leaves out altitude constraints and procedures with non-fix leg types). Having a toggleable modernized FMC option—or expanded database support for procedural departures and arrivals—would dramatically improve quality of life when flying on VATSIM or in modern IFR environments.

Thanks for considering this, and appreciate all the fantastic work on the aircraft!
