A good middle ground could be just a visual check of the dipstick. The amount of oil could always be the same, as you don't obviously have such a tremendously deep engine wear modeling as A2A.<br />
But in the current SWS Kodiak for example, you can open the cowling and check the oil- which will always display the same amount - but it adds immersion of checking and verifying.</p>
