In the patch notes for the Caravan, it says ”Found an undocumented feature that can be used to improve the appearance of external lighting in MSFS 2024, making them more visible in daylight. Finally!” The external lights are certainly much better for the Caravan, than other BS planes. Nice!

This got me thinking. Can this be used to also improve interior lighting? It can be relatively dark during the day, if it’s overcast, for example, but it’s like the sim treats days like no light source can be seen ever. Look at the comparison screenshots below. They’re taken in the same spot, at the same time, instrument lights cranked up to max.

FS2024

It’s like night and day (hah!). I understand that this is a sim issue, but can the Magic Wand that improved external lights be used to improve internal lights as well? Please and thank you.

Night flying is possibly my favorite activity in the world, and I put an inordinate amount of time into the interior lighting in my aircraft. I just finished doing this for the Twin Commanders, which meant hand-placing over 100 interior light sources. This is the single biggest disappointment in MSFS 2024 for me. Unfortunately, the workaround I found affects only the "sprite" or "halo" around the light during the daytime, not its actual emission.
