    @dtwoiski

    There are two different versions of the software - one for Windows and one for the other computer - so, yes, if you wanted both you'd need both bits of software. Not something we've been asked before, TBH.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the post. As you also raised a support ticket regarding this we've replied to that for you.

    Many thanks,

    Simon

    @jovibo It seems like the version of xpuipc is relevant. I just had the same issue with v 2.0.0.0
    I just updated to version 2.0.3.1 and that seems to work okay with TG and let me activate it.

    @Alpha_Hunter Thanks for this. It looks like NOD32 is the only common one with this problem. I have to say I have a low opinion of it; I installed it once on someone's recommendation and it trashed my entire PC, it's the one and only time in decades I've had to do a full restore from backup. Normally you can add a file as an exception, and any sane virus checker would ask you what you want to do with it before just deleting executables.

    Themida is used, but this is a well-known commercial compression and protection utility.

    @Vic said in what ctd error is this ?:

    I just got a ctd and the error was this:

    TGXP: ******
    TGXP: ****** Crash probably caused by "C:\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\Traffic Global\win_x64\Traffic Global.xpl".
    TGXP: ******
    TGXP: **************************************************************************************
    TGXP: at , address 0000000000000000
    TGXP: Exception in thread 3168: (null)
    TGXP: - Arg 1 : 0x0000000000000000
    TGXP: - Arg 2 : 0x0000018A0D8267D0
    TGXP: Plugin Name Enabled? Version Date
    TGXP: -

    What's that ?

    Something you'll need to contact JF support to look into. They will need to get a proper dump file off you.

    There aren't any tools included I'm afraid but it is possible using third-party tools. I know there are people out there doing it, maybe try searching on x-plane.org .

    There isn't really a good way of doing this, sadly. The textures are simple images so each individual aircraft would need to be written out to disk as a new, temporary model with matching textures. That would mean loading the original, decompressing it, writing in the correct tailnumber, compressing it and saving it to disk, and copying the model to the same place. In a busy area I regularly see over 1,000 different aircraft being tracked so that would be 1000 times an average of about 12Mb, so let's say 10Gb, to read and then write back to disk at the start of every flight and then keep updated every three minutes or so during the flight. Plus the hassle of handling diskspace problems, cleaning up after an unplanned shutdown...

    Technically possible, definitely, but I think more trouble than it's worth.

    @goodmanp

    Your best bet would be to contact Just Flight support. They can get a proper dump file off you and see what may be causing the issue.

    NB - make sure all your other addons (they call them 'plugins' at X-Plane) are up to date.
